Valentine's Day Sun Catchers

Valentine's Day Sun Catchers

I love clear contact paper crafts! Our neighbor came over today with this great craft paper and cut out hearts for us. Then we ripped up tissue paper and placed it in the middle.

D knew just what to do:)
And little I-Bell took her time - she made sure all areas were covered in the prettiest paper. She was so sweet. It took us a little while to set this up for four kids, but she sat quietly watching, and waiting, while the rest of the monkeys jumped around the house and played.
D wanted to go play with the neighbors half way through his craft, so I left it out for him to revisit this afternoon. Thomas joined in this time as D chose to throw tissue paper onto the heart - whatever works!
Then our neighbor had left us with some hearts cut out of coffee filters. We colored on them with Crayola Markers and then dropped water on them. I cut out a whole bunch more, and we were busy for a long time with this!

Little S is quite the artist! I am amazed by her artwork every day:)
Using those little finger muscles to squeeze the water onto her flowers.
Ready to dry.

Here are the finished sun catchers:
The top one is D's and the bottom is I-Bell's
For some reason this photo is very large, at least it's a pretty one!
