Weather Week: Day 2

Clouds, Clouds and more Clouds!

While the beginning of April has been dark, gloomy and rainy, it hasn't been that way inside around here! Today we made some bright, and fluffy white cumulus clouds and some cirrus clouds too:)

We mixed glue with Raspberry scented shaving cream (I've learned my lesson here with shaving cream - be sure you enjoy the smell!)
D did great with this!
Above and below, D's cumulus clouds♥
I-Bell made hers nice and fluffy!
Then we talked about cirrus clouds.
She looked at this picture and started painting.
Then she blotted some more, and began teaching me. She explained that there are some clouds in the sky that make pictures.
She made her next cloud and said, "This is an alien cloud."

Clean Clouds

This is a sensory activity involving Ivory soap, toilet paper and water. My toilet paper was dropped into a sink full of water while a little girl was playing today - that's why the roll in the pic looks swollen and wrinkly lol.

Opening the soap.
Smelling it ...
"Disgusting!"
Microwaving the soap!
The soap after the microwave:
We tore up the TP and added water.
Dig in!
S made a ball - this was fun to mold and play. The girls were busy for an hour or more. They were "baking" and even talking to each other in a foreign language at one point.
They loved squishing this in their hands.
A big cloud!
Very fun, nice and messy - so glad Josh made the kids a sensory table out of our old dresser.
