Picked up some fruit and star ice cube trays and filled them with water and food coloring. They turned out really neat! Can't wait to use them again next week:)
It was so hot this week, so playing with ice and water is a must.
It's fun to send them down the gutter and see the colored trails they leave behind.
Caught some!

Little L was peeking at us from her play chair. You can tell she can't wait to do big kid activities.
After while their hands were getting stained from the food coloring. They wanted to go in and wash their hands, so instead, I asked if they'd like soap bubbles in the tub. Of course! So we played with warm soapy water and ice. Their hands weren't stained any more and this added a whole new element to the play, making it last long after the ice had melted!
So much fun you have! I think next week I'm going to do the ice cubes too
ReplyDeleteYes! You can use old yogurt/cool whip containers to make big ice blocks. Don't you have a bunch of mittens/gloves? I bet they'd think it's neat to wear them and play too. LOL I love kid's stuff!
